The Department of Fashion Design successfully organised an educational visit to Gartex Texprocess India
2025 – the Integrated Textile Expo of Garment Manufacturing Technologies at Bharat Mandapam,
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 23rd August 2025 (Saturday). Students from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years
participated with great enthusiasm, accompanied by the faculty members.
The expo, showcasing garment machinery, embroidery machines, digital textile printing technology, laundry
equipment, and much more, provided students with valuable insights into the latest developments in
spinning, weaving, knitting, printing, embroidery, fabrics, trims, and sustainable practices. They also
had the opportunity to interact with experts and witness innovations presented by leading companies such
as Arvind Ltd, Jindal Worldwide Ltd, Raymond UCO Denim, Siyaram Silk Mills, Epson, Brother
International, Groz Beckert, Konica Minolta, Nakoda Fashion and several others.
This educational initiative was made possible under the constant support and guidance of our
Hon’ble Chancellor Sir, Dr. Umesh Gautam, Executive Director, Mr. Parth Gautam; and Dean, Faculty
of Science, Prof. P. P. Singh, whose encouragement has always motivated the department to provide
students with holistic exposure to industry advancements. The visit was led by Head of Department Ms.
Shewali Sahay, along with faculty members Ms. Pavitra Khandelwal and Ms. Tanya Dubey.
This visit proved to be a highly enriching experience, bridging academic learning with real-time industry
exposure and enhancing the professional preparedness of our students.
