Educational visit to High Court, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
On 26th April 2023, the Department of Law at Invertis University organized a visit to the Shimla High Court in Himachal Pradesh. The visit was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to observe court proceedings and gain practical knowledge about the legal system.
The students were accompanied by faculty members and were warmly welcomed by the court staff. They were given a brief introduction about the history and functioning of the court. The students were then divided into groups and taken to different courtrooms to observe the proceedings.
The students observed the proceedings of various cases, including civil and criminal cases. They witnessed how the judges conducted the proceedings, listened to arguments from both sides, and delivered judgments. They also got a chance to interact with the lawyers and understand their roles in the legal system.
After observing the proceedings, the students had an interactive session with the judges, where they were able to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The judges shared their experiences and insights about the legal system and encouraged the students to pursue a career in law.
Overall, the visit was an enriching experience for the students, who gained practical knowledge about the legal system. It also motivated them to work hard and pursue their goals in the field of law.
